Austrian chancellor to visit Ukraine on September 4
"Austrian Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurz will visit Ukraine next Tuesday," the Kleiner Zeitung newsportal reported on Wednesday.
The chancellor on the eve of the trip noted that his visit to Ukraine "seeks to deepen good bilateral political, economic and cultural relations."
"Within the Austrian Presidency of the Council of the EU, our goal is to make a positive contribution to reducing tensions in our continent. Security and stability in Austria and the EU also depend on stability in our neighboring regions, which, of course, Ukraine belongs to," the head of the Austrian government added.
In Kyiv, Kurz intends to meet with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko. The agenda of the talks includes Vienna's presidency in the EU, bilateral relations, the internal situation in Ukraine, namely in Donbas. In addition, Kurz also plans to meet with Mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko.
