Poroshenko: Ukraine to continue to stand its ground in educational law dispute with Hungary

Ukraine will continue to stand its ground in the educational law dispute with Hungary as it is done in line with the international standards.

"Unfortunately, Budapest is trying to create some parallel reality in relations with Ukraine. Both we and Hungarians defend the language. I want to emphasize that we are doing this on our own land and in line with the international standards. We are trying to provide absolutely equal opportunities for all national minorities. I believe that Ukraine’s stance is well grounded," President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said at the 13th meeting of heads of Ukraine’s foreign diplomatic missions, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

This situation shows the need for friendly and reliable relations with neighbors, he noted.
