Ukraine, Kazakhstan to strengthen cooperation in fight against drug trafficking

The National Police of Ukraine will strengthen interaction with law enforcement officers of Kazakhstan in counteracting transnational and organized drug crimes.

Head of the Department of Drug Control of the National Police of Ukraine Andriy Kikhtenko and Head of the Department of Strategic Investigations Roman Osukhovsky discussed this at a working meeting with representatives of the Committee of National Security of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty.

"The National Police of Ukraine will strengthen cooperation with the law enforcement agencies of Kazakhstan in counteracting transnational and organized drug crimes," the report reads.

Thus, representatives of the two countries discussed the establishment of practical cooperation aimed at minimizing the international drug expansion.

Participants of the meeting reached agreements on conducting joint law enforcement special operations and exchanging operational information.
