Croatia supports Ukraine’s course towards EU and NATO

Croatia has reiterated its support for Ukraine’s aspirations to integrate into European and Euro-Atlantic structures.

This was stated at a meeting of Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs Pavlo Klimkin and Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovi, which was held as part of ceremonial opening of the Honorary Consulate of Ukraine in the Croatian city of Split on August 20, 2018, the ministry’s press service reports.

"Klimkin thanked the Croatian side for its active position in protecting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our state. The parties also discussed the full range of bilateral cooperation and current issues on the international agenda," reads the statement.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also informed that during his stay in Split, Klimkin had a meeting with Croatian Foreign Minister Marija Pejcinovic Buric.

The Croatian side stated it is ready to continue rehabilitation of children affected by the Russian aggression in eastern Ukraine, as well as internships for military psychologists.
