Foreign Ministers of Ukraine and UAE outline priority directions of cooperation

Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, H.E. Dr.Anwar Mohammed Gargash, outlined priority directions of cooperation for the near future and discussed the cooperation within international organizations.

The press service of the Foreign Ministry reported this following a meeting of the ministers in the scope of the third session of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Emirati Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, which took place in Kyiv on August 16-17.

“The parties discussed prospects for further development of bilateral cooperation in the political, trade, economic and humanitarian spheres and outlined priority directions of Ukrainian-Emirati interaction for the near future. Special attention was paid to the issues of cooperation within the framework of international organizations,” reads the report.

It is noted that the parties praised the implementation of agreements reached during the visit of President Petro Poroshenko to the UAE on November 1-2, 2017.

Also, Pavlo Klimkin and Anwar Gargash participated in the opening ceremony of the Arabic Language Center at the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine and signed a Memorandum on Cooperation between the Hennadiy Udovenko Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine under the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine and the Emirates Diplomatic Academy under the Foreign Ministry of the UAE.
