"On August 7, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko along with the foreign ministers of Georgia, Poland, Latvia and Lithuania visited the administrative border near the village of Odzisi and examined [through the field glasses] the military base of the Russian Federation, which is located in the occupied territory," the Embassy of Ukraine in Georgia posted on Facebook.
As Rozenko said in an interview with the media on the way to Odzisi, the integration of Ukraine and Georgia and granting them a full membership in NATO and the European Union will ensure the integrity of Europe in the future and, in particular, will protect Europe from further expansion of Russia to the west, ‘what we have already seen through completely different factors’."
Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister Pavlo Rozenko is currently on a visit to Georgia to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the beginning of Russia-Georgia war of 2008 jointly with the foreign ministers of Poland, Latvia and Lithuania.
August 8, 2018 marks the 10th anniversary of the beginning of the direct armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Georgia. Having neglected the universally accepted norms and principles of the international law, the Russian armed forces grossly violated the internationally recognized borders and invaded the sovereign territory of Georgia.
