Poroshenko calls on government to prepare consolidated claim against Russia over military aggression

In a post on his Facebook page, Poroshenko wrote: “Russia’s ongoing military aggression brings new immeasurable human suffering to Ukraine every day, destroys the infrastructure, damages enterprises and economic potential of Donbas and Crimea. And we should not put off the drawing up of a consolidated claim of Ukraine against Russia for the reparation of damages. I addressed the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine with a request to take measures so that to establish a relevant interdepartmental coordination agency as soon as possible.”

He added that the creation of such an agency is envisaged by the reintegration law, which was adopted in January.

The President emphasized that this law also clearly confirms Ukraine's commitment to peaceful settlement of the situation and reflects the ideology of peaceful reintegration of the occupied region.

"I expect from the government a detailed plan for the comprehensive development of territories adjacent to the occupied areas... Our fellow citizens, especially in the liberated Ukrainian territories, should understand the obvious difference between Ukraine's new opportunities, which takes care of its citizens, and between Russia's lost hopes," Poroshenko wrote.
