First Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Iryna Heraschenko calls on Ukrainian MPs not to procrastinate the creation of the Ministry for Veterans Affairs.

In a post on her Facebook page on Tuesday, she wrote: "It is important not to delay the creation of the Ministry for Veterans Affairs. The coalition must submit their candidate for the minister. The Petro Poroshenko Bloc has already decided on their candidate, we’re waiting for a constructive position from the People’s Front and voting for the minister”.

As reported, the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction nominated MP Iryna Friz for the post of Minister for Veterans Affairs. The decision was unanimously approved at the faction’s meeting on June 21.

At present MP Iryna Friz heads the subcommittee on military security of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defense. She also is the head of the Permanent Parliamentary Delegation of Ukraine to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
