Decision on extending sanctions against Russia published in EU Official Journal

The European Union has completed the formal judicial procedure on renewing restrictive measures in view of Russia’s actions destabilizing the situation in Ukraine.
The relevant legal act was published in the Official Journal of the European Union on July 9.
The renewed sanctions will operate from August 1, 2018 till January 3, 2019 (current sanctions are in effect until July 31, 2018).
As Ukrinform reported, the European Union at a meeting on June 28-29 took a political decision to extend the economic restrictive measures against Russia for the next six months.
