Klimkin urges all partners to increase pressure on Kremlin

Ukrinform
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin has called on all partners to increase pressure on the Kremlin and force Russia to release political prisoners.

"New sentences, detentions, torture, punitive psychiatry against Ukrainian citizens, captives of the Kremlin, are held in Russia 24 hours a day. I urge all partners to increase pressure on the Kremlin and to force it to stop human rights violations and release political prisoners!" Klimkin wrote on Twitter.

In total, about 70 Ukrainian political prisoners, including Ukrinform journalist Roman Sushchenko, who was illegally sentenced to 12 years in prison in a high-security penal colony for alleged espionage, are held in Russia and occupied Crimea.
