Poroshenko: EU’s assistance worth EUR1 bln is recognition of Ukraine’s progress on reform path

In a post on his Facebook page, Poroshenko wrote: “I welcome the decision of the EU Council to approve the EU's fourth macro-financial assistance package worth 1 billion euros for Ukraine.”

He thanked President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker for the coordinated implementation of the preliminary agreements and sincere support for Ukraine.

“Today's decision is a recognition of our progress on the reform path and confirmation of unity and solidarity with Ukraine in the countering internal and external challenges," Poroshenko stressed.

He also thanked all EU Member States and partners in the EU institutions for their “visionary perspective, unity and solidarity with Ukraine."

As Ukrinform reported, the European Parliament supported by an overwhelming majority the provision of the fourth macro-financial assistance program worth 1 billion euros to Ukraine.
