Ukraine’s human rights commissioner again not able to visit Sentsov

Verkhovna Rada Human Rights Commissioner Liudmyla Denisova has not been again allowed to visit Ukrainian film director Oleg Sentsov illegally imprisoned in Russia.

"In accordance with our previous agreements [with Russian Ombudswoman Tatyana Moskalkova], which were held in the evening of June 18, the Ukrainian side did its utmost for minimal movements and maximum comfort of Tatyana Moskalkova's visits to those she wanted to see," she wrote on Facebook.

During this time, Denisova was to go to Labytnangi, Russia, to meet with the human rights commissioner in Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, where Ukrainian political prisoner Oleg Sentsov is held.

At the same time, Denisova noted that "nothing happened again. I again have to admit that Tatyana Moskalkova does not take decisions, and she only articulates what she was instructed to say. I was again invited to the talks. I'm going, but..." she wrote.
