Klimkin thanks EU for extending Crimea-related sanctions

Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin has thanked the European Union for extending restrictive measures for one more year in response to Russia's illegal annexation of Crimea.
In a post on Twitter, Klimkin wrote: “Grateful to our EU friends for annual roll-over of Crimea-related sanctions. It’s also crucial to list those responsible for massive HR violation on occupied peninsula and those engaged in construction of Kerch bridge. We should proceed from non-recognition to de-occupation”.
As reported, on June 18, 2018, the EU Council extended the restrictive measures until June 23, 2019 in response to the illegal annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol by Russia. The measures apply to EU persons an EU based companies concerning their activities in Crimea in trade, economic, financial and investment spheres, energy, and tourism.
