The Polish Sejm has adopted at a meeting on Friday a resolution in support of Ukrainian political prisoners Oleg Sentsov, Roman Sushchenko and others.

As an Ukrinform correspondent reports, 410 Polish lawmakers voted in favor of the resolution.

"Film director from Crimea Oleg Sentsov has gone on a hunger strike and now is dying in a Russian penal colony. Discussions are ongoing at many international platforms. Those Polish parliamentarians, who take part in them, should be supported with a strong resolution of the Polish parliament on this matter," MP from the Civil Platform Andrzej Galicki said before reading out the resolution.

The resolution emphasizes that the Parliament of the Republic of Poland appeals to the Russian government with a request to release all Ukrainian citizens who are held for political reasons in Russian detention centers and prisons.
