Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has submitted a draft law on the establishment of the High Anti-Corruption Court to the High Council for Justice (HCJ).

He wrote this on Twitter.

"I forwarded to the High Council of Justice a draft law on the establishment of the High Anti-Corruption Court in accordance with the procedure established by the Constitution," Poroshenko said.

The law on the High Anti-Corruption Court came into force on June 14.

A day earlier, the document was published in the parliament's Holos Ukrainy newspaper and posted on the website of the Verkhovna Rada.

On June 9, Verkhovna Rada Chairman Andriy Parubiy signed the law, which was passed by parliament on June 7. On June 11, the document was signed by President Petro Poroshenko.

At the same time, Justice Minister Pavlo Petrenko said earlier that the parliament also needs to adopt a "technical" law on the establishment of the High Anti-Corruption Court - a law stating the establishment of the court, as required by the Constitution of Ukraine.
