President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has stated that the adoption of the law on the High Anti-Corruption Court is a common victory of Ukrainian people and all branches of government.

He said this while speaking in the Verkhovna Rada after the adoption of the law, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"This is the victory - the victory of Ukraine, Ukrainian people, my victory as the President of Ukraine, the victory of the Ukrainian Parliament headed by Verkhovna Rada Speaker Andriy Parubiy. This is the victory of the Ukrainian Government headed by Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman and the victory of each Member of Parliament who voted for the presidential bill," Poroshenko said.

He noted that the adoption of the law "gives a green light" to the creation of a High Anti-Corruption Court.

"Today we have completed the formation of the anti-corruption infrastructure," Poroshenko stressed.

"I would like to underline the decisiveness of the Ukrainian authorities' actions in the fight against corruption. Because no country in the world has such decisive legislative acts adopted by its parliament and signed by a president," the Poroshenko added.
