German president Steinmeier to visit Lviv

President of the Federal Republic of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier will make a visit to Lviv on May 30.

As Ukrinform learnt from spokesperson for the Lviv Regional State Administration Olha Mateichyk, Steinmeier will meet administration’s chairman Oleh Syniutka, talk with the students of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and take a walk around the city.

Speaking at the briefing in Kyiv yesterday, Steinmeier noted that Germany had always been willing to support the process of internal transformation of Ukraine and that "little has been done" in this regard over the past few years.

Many large industrial facilities with German investments have been opened in Lviv region, including Leoni wires and cables company and others. At the moment, the Lviv Regional State Administration provides support for over 500 investment projects, including those with German capital.
