Hybrid deportation of the Crimean Tatar people is a reality in Crimea occupied by Russia today.

Spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry Mariana Betsa wrote this on Twitter.

"We mourn victims of deportation of Crimean Tatars in 1944. Today hybrid deportation is a reality in occupied Crimea," she wrote.

In addition, Ukraine calls on the international community to continue political and diplomatic pressure on Russian occupation authorities to avoid any repetition of 1944 tragedy, to cease immediately violations of fundamental human rights in Crimea.

As reported, in 2015, the Parliament of Ukraine declared May 18 as the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Genocide of the Crimean Tatar People.
