Chairman of the Donetsk Regional Military and Civil Administration Pavlo Zhebrivsky met with U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations Kurt Volker and U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch.

"I had a short talk without the press with U.S. Special Representative Kurt Volker and U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch. We discussed the security policy, economic and social and political situation in Donbas," Zhebrivsky wrote on Facebook.

He noted that on Tuesday, May 15, another initiative of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) was announced. It provides for the allocation of $125 million to the regions of Ukraine affected by the Russian aggression (including Donetsk region) in next five years. The purpose of the assistance, according to USAID Assistant Administrator Brock Bierman, as quoted by Zhebrivsky, is "to help eliminate the impact of the Kremlin aggression and to overcome the consequences of the armed conflict that continues in the region."
