Kuchma calls main topic of upcoming meeting of Poroshenko with Merkel, Macron in Aachen

Ukraine’s representative in the Trilateral Contact Group for the settlement of the situation in Donbas Leonid Kuchma is convinced that the situation in Ukraine will be the main topic during talks of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron in Aachen, Germany.
He said this at a press conference in Ukrinform.
"I am sure that there will be discussion of the situation in Ukraine, rather than the issue of how to solve the main problem with Russia," he said.
On May 9-10, President Petro Poroshenko will pay a working visit to Germany, where he will hold talks with the leaders of Germany and France.
Germany's Foreign Minister Heiko Maas plans to visit Moscow on May 10. In addition, on May 14, Economy Minister of Germany Peter Altmaier will visit Ukraine and Russia to discuss the Nord Stream 2 project. On May 18, Chancellor Angela Merkel intends to leave for Sochi to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
