Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) will hold a meeting on Wednesday to consider introducing new sanctions against Russia, a source at the Presidential Administration has told an Ukrinform correspondent.

According to the source, the meeting participants will consider extending existing sanctions and introducing new ones, synchronized with restrictive measures imposed against Russia by western partners.

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said during his visit to Germany on April 9 that at its next meeting the National Security and Defense Council would consider draft decisions on imposing sanctions against Russian oligarchs.

According to the head of state, the sanctions list will include "Deripaska and other Russian oligarchs who participate, in particular, in active work in Crimea and in the supply of arms to the Russian armed forces."
