Ukraine still has a lot to do on way to NATO membership – U.S. Secretary of State

The United States expects that Ukraine will continue to make efforts towards NATO membership.
U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said this in Brussels on Friday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
"There was discussion today about Ukraine, Ukraine’s potential entry to be a NATO partner, that there’s much work to do along the way to achieve that," the U.S. Secretary of State said, answering the question when Ukraine could get an action plan for NATO membership.
As Ukrinform reported, newly appointed U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo first participated in the NATO ministerial meeting.
