Klimkin to pay visit to Egypt on April 29-30

"This visit, which will occur as a result of a telephone conversation between President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi (April 12, 2018), is intended to intensify the Ukrainian-Egyptian cooperation in all areas of common interest, to discuss ways to deepen relations in the economic field and the state of preparation for the next meeting of the Ukrainian-Egyptian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation," the report reads.

The parties will draw special attention to bilateral cooperation in tourism, as Ukraine holds the leading positions by the number of its citizens visiting Egypt (over 770,000 over the past year).

"The Ukrainian side notes the efforts made by the Egyptian side to ensure the safe stay and rest of Ukrainian tourists in this country. The Foreign Ministry's recommendations to the Ukrainian citizens traveling to Egypt from April 18, 2018 do not contain a general warning to refrain from traveling to this country, but the Ministry asks citizens to be cautious and take into account the state of emergency in Egypt," the report reads.
