Groysman: Local government responsible for transport modernization

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman has stated that the modernization of transport is a task of solely local authorities.
He said this during a Government Question Hour meeting held in Parliament on Friday, April 20, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"As to the transport, this is a task of local communities. The course is to restore bus and tram connections. At present local budgets have all the possibilities for modernizing transport, rebuilding and purchasing a new one. I believe that this is a task of solely local government," said Groysman.
He added that local authorities should effectively use funds from their budgets.
