Vice PM Klympush-Tsintsadze: Ukraine seeks to strengthen partnership with Turkey

Ukraine is interested in intensifying the development of Ukrainian-Turkish strategic partnership in order to achieve the concrete results for both countries.

Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze said this during the meeting with Volkan Bozkir, the Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee at the Turkish Grand National Assembly, the Governmental portal reports.

"Ukraine is interested in intensifying the development of Ukrainian-Turkish strategic partnership, aimed at achieving tangible concrete results in the interests of our states. The cooperation at the level of the parliaments of the two countries should play a special role," the Vice Prime Minister noted.

The parties discussed the progress and prospects of Ukraine-Turkey cooperation. Klympush-Tsintsadze stressed that Ukraine was satisfied with the dynamic pattern of the political dialogue between the countries at all the levels and hoped for its strengthening.

 Klympush-Tsintsadze also stressed the importance of Turkey's support for the territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine and fruitful cooperation in the international organizations.

Volkan Bozkir confirmed that his country would remain a reliable partner of Ukraine and expressed satisfaction with the level of dialogue that exists between the states. Turkey does not recognize the annexation of Crimea and is also interested in the successful implementation of Ukraine's Eurointegration and Euro-Atlantic aspirations, the Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee at the Turkish Grand National Assembly stressed.
