Norway allocates EUR 3.6 mln for implementation of CoE Action Plan for Ukraine

Norway will allocate EUR 3.6 million for the implementation of the Council of Europe Action Plan for Ukraine 2018-2021.

"The Government of Norway has approved a new commitment to make voluntary contribution of NOK 34 million (approximately EUR 3.6) for implementation of the Council of Europe Action Plan for Ukraine 2018-2021," the Council of Europe states.

As an Ukrinform correspondent reports, Permanent Representative of Norway to the Council of Europe, Ambassador Elisabeth Walaas underscored her country's commitment to Ukraine's efforts, in particular those in the process of reforms.

"Norway has a strong political and financial commitment to the Council of Europe’s cooperation with Ukraine aimed at supporting the reforms," Ambassador Walaas said.

As reported, the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe approved the Council of Europe Action Plan for Ukraine 2018-2021on February 21.

The Action Plan budget totals EUR 29.5 million.
