‘Normandy Four’ to consider ways to accelerate Minsk agreements implementation

The leaders of the Normandy format countries reaffirm their commitment to the Minsk agreements and will consider possible ways to accelerate their implementation in the coming months.

This is said in the joint statement, published on the website of the President of Ukraine.

“The leaders of the Normandy format countries reaffirm their commitment to implementation of the Minsk agreements in all dimensions (security, political, humanitarian and socio-economic). They will consider possible ways to accelerate the implementation of the agreements in the coming months,” reads the statement.

It is also noted that the leaders of the Normandy format countries praise the agreement reached by the Trilateral Contact Group on March 26, 2018 to renew the ceasefire regime on Easter holidays starting from March 30, 2018. The leaders of the Normandy format countries emphasize the importance of its strict observance and ensuring effective monitoring and verification by the OSCE SMM.

Moreover, the leaders call for greater effort to release the captives, according to the formula "all for all".
