Ukrinform
The Attorney General of Greece has promised the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine that 26 Ukrainians, the members of the crews of the three foreign ships arrested in Greece, will soon be able to return home.

Official representative of the Department of Consular Service of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine Vasyl Kyrylych said this at a briefing on Thursday, March 15, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Our key petition to the Greek side is to take final decisions and give an opportunity to the citizens of Ukraine – the crew members of the foreign ships arrested in Greece, to return to Ukraine. The Attorney General of Greece promised that the decisions would be made quickly. She stressed that the crew members were not detained, therefore after taking a decision on cargo and ships, the crew members would be able to return to Ukraine," Kyrylych said.

He said that our compatriots – the members of the crews of Mekong Spirit, RC 300-97 and Andromeda ships, could not leave the territory of Greece until the completion of investigative actions and delivering final decisions.
