Parliament expels Savchenko from national security and defense committee

A total of 261 MPs voted for relevant draft resolution No.5543, with at least 226 votes required to make the decision, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

The draft resolution was submitted by MPs from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc and People’s Front factions, who are members of this committee.

According to an explanatory note to the draft resolution, Savchenko has access to state secrets and as a member of the committee takes part in its meetings, where information that refers to state secrets is considered.
