Poroshenko congratulates Merkel on her re-election

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has congratulated Angela Merkel on her re-election as German Chancellor.
He wrote this on his Facebook page.
“I wholeheartedly congratulate Angela Merkel, the outstanding statesperson of the present and the sincere friend of Ukraine, on her re-election as Federal Chancellor of Germany. I wish her success on the way to further strengthening the role of Germany in the international arena and overcoming unprecedented challenges of our time,” Poroshenko noted.
The President also expressed hope for further deepening of the dialogue between Ukraine and Germany.
On Wednesday, Angela Merkel was elected by German lawmakers for a fourth term as Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany.
