VR ratifies Ukraine-Bulgaria agreement on cooperation in case of catastrophes

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has ratified the agreement between the governments of Ukraine and Bulgaria on cooperation in case of catastrophes.

A total of 228 MPs voted in favor of the corresponding law, No.0174, on March 14, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

The ratification of this agreement by the Verkhovna Rada will allow providing the prompt and timely mutual assistance, carrying out the exchange of information so that to prevent emergencies, and, in case of their occurrence, efficiently solve the issues of liquidation of their consequences.

"Funds for possible assistance may be allocated from the reserve fund of the state budget of Ukraine and other sources. The relevant expenditures will be regulated by a certain resolution issued by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine," said Ukrainian Deputy Interior Minister Vadym Troyan.
