Poroshenko calls on EU to recognize Russia as an aggressor country

He stated this during a joint briefing with Vice President of the European Commission - High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"I’m sure that over four years of Russian aggression against Ukraine, it's time for the European Union to call the aggressor an aggressor and a party to the conflict," the president said.

Poroshenko also stressed that it’s time to promote the delivery of defense weapons to Ukraine from EU member states in line with national and international law.

As reported, on March 12, Vice President of the European Commission - High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini is on an official visit to Ukraine.
