Ukraine to take its ships only with Crimea - president

Ukraine can take its warships from the Crimean peninsula only with Crimea, President Petro Poroshenko has said.
He stated this at a press conference "Challenges 2018" in Kyiv on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"We are definitely ready to receive ships from Crimea. And it's not about the reasons - whether they are repaired or not, or anything else. We are ready to accept ships from Crimea only with Crimea. I am convinced that this is a unanimous position of the Ukrainian authorities and the Ukrainian people," Poroshenko said.
He said that all possible diplomatic, judicial tools and sanctions would be used to return Crimea to Ukraine's sovereignty.
The Autonomous Republic of Crimea was annexed by Russia in 2014. The international community does not recognize annexation of Crimea.
