The parties discussed the course of implementation of the Minsk agreements and stressed the need for consolidation of the ceasefire regime," the press service of the Head of State reports.
As noted, special attention was paid to the release of hostages. The parties emphasized the necessity of continuing the common work for the liberation of all Ukrainian hostages and political prisoners as soon as possible.
In addition, Poroshenko and Merkel shared views on the issues related to the restoration of the efficient work of the Joint Center for Control and Coordination in Donbas and the opportunity of deploying the UN peacekeeping mission in certain districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
