Iryna Gerashchenko urges Albania to support UN peacekeeping mission in occupied Donbas

First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Iryna Gerashchenko has called on Albania to support the initiative to deploy a UN peacekeeping mission throughout the occupied territory of Donbas.

She informed this on her Facebook page following a meeting with the Albanian parliamentary delegation headed by Chairwoman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Mimi Kodheli.

"I informed my colleagues about the consequences of Russian aggression and invited to visit Donbas during the next visit. I told about the work of the Minsk groups, thanked Albania for the continued support of the territorial integrity of Ukraine in all international institutions and urged to support the initiative to introduce a UN peacekeeping mission to the entire occupied territory of Donbas," Gerashchenko wrote.

She adds that the issue of human rights violations by the Russian occupation regime in Crimea was also discussed during the meeting.
