The next meeting of the foreign ministers of the Normandy format member countries is pre-scheduled for February 16.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said this at a joint press conference with Italian Foreign Minister Angelino Alfano in Kyiv on January 30, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We are working in the framework of the "Normandy format." According to preliminary agreement, Sigmar Gabriel [Foreign Minister of Germany] offered to hold the next ministerial meeting in the "Normandy format" during the Munich conference on February 16," he said.

Klimkin adds that if Russia agrees to hold this meeting and it will take place, he will focus on the security issues of the release of hostages and political prisoners, and he will tell Russia that there is no alternative to a real peacekeeping mission throughout the occupied Donbas.
