Poroshenko signs law on admission of foreign troops to military exercises in Ukraine

The Verkhovna Rada approved the relevant decision on January 18.
It is planned to admit up to 3,000 military personnel with weapons and military equipment, up to 6 aircraft and helicopters for up to 365 days in January-December 2018 as part of the multinational military exercises.
Moreover, the law approves the admission of the units of NATO member states and states participating in the Partnership for Peace program of up to 2,000 military personnel with weapons and military equipment, up to 20 aircraft and helicopters for up to 16 days in June-November 2018 within the framework of the Ukrainian-U.S. Rapid Trident 2018 exercises.
In addition, the document approves the admission of the military personnel of other states to participate in the Ukrainian-U.S. Sea Breeze 2018 exercises for up to 25 days in June-October 2018. In addition, foreign military personnel are allowed to participate in a number of other military drills.
