Independent anticorruption infrastructure necessary not for international partners but for Ukraine - President
President Petro Poroshenko said this at a briefing following the meeting that took place within the 48th annual session of the World Economic Forum in Davos, the press service of the Head of State reported.
“I would like to emphasize once again - the issue of the creation of an independent anticorruption infrastructure, including the Anticorruption Court, is my priority. This is required not for the World Bank, not for the IMF, not for the foreign partners. This is required for me and for Ukraine,” Poroshenko said.
The Head of State said that the issue of creating anticorruption infrastructure and ensuring its independent, efficient work, including the creation of the Anticorruption Court, had been discussed during a number of his bilateral meetings in Davos.
The President stressed that he had been the initiator of the creation of such bodies. "I believe that we have a very effective position on the creation of the structures. Nobody has any doubt that they are independent," Poroshenko noted.
