Ukraine sees its future in Europe - foreign minister

Ukraine's future lies in European integration, but Ukrainians do not forget about their specificity and historical roots.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said this in his speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos on Thursday, January 25, the Foreign Ministry reported on Twitter.

"Our future is within EU integration. But we don't forget about our specificity and uniqueness. Ukraine is an essential part of a great EU family. Ukraine is different than it was 100 years ago but we bear in memory our heritage and continue to stagger along!" Klimkin said.

Speaking in Davos, he also mentioned the influence of Russian propaganda.

"Russian propaganda tags along behind the world. And when somebody tells me that people will forget that half a year later and will return to everyday life, I have my doubts. Russia lives in another reality, and we will never comprehend it," the minister said.
