Azerbaijani president to visit Ukraine soon

"In 2016, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, with a solid official delegation, was on an official visit to Azerbaijan. We achieved very important agreements as part of the visit, which we are currently implementing. We hope that in the near future President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will make a return visit to Ukraine, which will give even more impetus to the development and strengthening of our relations," Khudiyev said.

According to him, priority areas have already been identified, and a package of bilateral documents is to be signed during the visit. "We are currently developing relevant documents that will regulate our activities in developing and deepening our relations," the ambassador said.

Khudiyev added that the issue would concern Azerbaijan's participation in energy projects, the intensification of inter-parliamentary and trade and economic cooperation.
