Tillerson to discuss Ukraine during his visit to European states - State Department

U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson will visit the European countries next week and will meet with representatives of the top leadership of these states to discuss a number of important issues, including Ukraine.

Spokesperson of the U.S. Department of State Heather Nauert said this during a briefing in Washington, DC on Thursday.

"U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson will travel to London, Paris, Warsaw, and Davos during the period from January 21 to 27," the representative of the U.S. Department of State said.

On January 21, he will arrive in London, where he will meet with Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson and National Security Advisor Mark Sedwill to discuss the cooperation on issues of mutual concern around the world, including Iran, Syria, Libya, the DPRK and Ukraine.

While in Paris on January 23, he will meet with senior French officials to discuss global issues of mutual concern, including Syria, Iran, Lebanon, Libya, the DPRK, and Ukraine, in addition to other areas of bilateral interest. He will also attend the launch of the International Partnership against Impunity for Use of Chemical Weapons.

Tillerson will then travel to Davos, Switzerland, where he will participate in the 2018 World Economic Forum on January 24-26.

Finally, he will travel to Warsaw on January 26, where he will meet with senior Polish officials to discuss a range of issues in the strong U.S.-Poland bilateral relationship, including global challenges, regional security, and economic prosperity.
