Payette gives Poroshenko a photo of Ukraine taken from outer space

The head of state said this at a joint press conference with Payette in Lviv on Thursday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"I asked Mrs. Governor General if she has ever been to Ukraine. I received a very interesting answer that this is her first visit to Ukrainian land," Poroshenko said.

According to him, Payette said she wanted to present to him a photo of Ukraine, which she took from outer space. 

"I am very pleased to see this fantastic photo. This wasn't a technical satellite photo, this was a photo made with love by the Governor General when she was in outer space," he said. 

He also added that the photo would be kept in his presidential office.
