Britain to continue to support Ukraine in 2018 - embassy

Britain will continue to support Ukraine in 2018 in conducting internal reforms and countering Russia's attempts to destabilize the situation in the country, the British Embassy in Ukraine has reported on Twitter.

"Good to see FM Gabriel in Ukraine highlighting both Russian destabilisation and need to press ahead with internal reforms. In 2018, UK will continue to focus on both these issues as part of our ongoing support to Ukraine," reads the report.

As Ukrinform reported, German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel was on a working visit to Ukraine on January 3-4.

On January 3, before departure to Ukraine, Gabriel said that the conflict in Donbas was neither frozen nor forgotten for the whole West and for Germany.

The Ukrainian and German foreign ministers held talks during which a bilateral agreement on labor activities of family members of employees of diplomatic missions and consular offices was signed.
