Berlin continues to support Ukraine on its way of reforms

Spokesperson of the German Government Ulrike Demmer stated this at a government briefing on Friday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported from Germany.

"The German Government continues to support Ukraine," Demmer assured.

The efforts made by the Ukrainian Government to implement reforms, especially taking into account the difficult situation in the east of the country, are really impressive, she said. The spokesperson underlined the progress made in health care and decentralization reforms.

At the same time, Berlin is closely monitoring the situation around bodies and officials engaged in the anti-corruption tasks. She reminds that independent persons are needed for a successful fight against corruption, and limitation of their work is a "wrong signal".
