He said this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.
"There is a direction that requires from us to double our efforts - this is the reform of the rule of law. The lack of the rule of law was a huge problem for Ukraine in the first years of independence. After Maidan Ukraine introduced several important initiatives, but much work needs to be done in this direction," Mingarelli said.
He noted that the EU supported the Ukrainian authorities, reformers and civil society on this path. In addition, he stressed the importance of combating corruption.
Earlier, Mingarelli said that the decision to provide Ukraine with the macro-financial assistance worth 600 million euros from the European Union would be made before the end of the year.
