Latvian Foreign Ministry: Russia should be responsible for aggressive actions in Ukraine
Rinkēvičs said this at the 24th OSCE Ministerial Council in Vienna, the press service of the Latvian Foreign Ministry reports.
"The Ukrainian issue should remain at the heart of the OSCE agenda, given the important role of the organization in the prevention and settlement of conflicts. It is unacceptable that certain OSCE participating states have a fundamentally contradictory understanding of the basic principles and values, as evidenced by Russia's aggression against Ukraine, ignoring the independence, unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine," Rinkēvičs said.
He also added that Russia should bear full responsibility for its aggressive actions in Ukraine and expressed support for diplomatic efforts to cope with the crisis within the Normandy format and the Trilateral Contact Group by achieving full implementation of the Minsk agreements.
