The President stated this during the Business Associations Forum in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"I want to emphasize that I had a meeting with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker during my visit to the Eastern Partnership summit in Brussels last week. We agreed on new macro-financial assistance for Ukraine for the next two years. Today, I am awaiting an appropriate communiqué from the EU," Poroshenko said.
According to the Ukraine’s President, the assistance is expected in the amount of approximately EUR 1.8 billion.
"Despite the difficulties in the EU, this should be a symbol of support for reforms, a symbol of support for Ukraine, which is extremely important to us," the President said.
