Foreign Ministry, UAE Ambassador discuss implementation of visa-free travel agreement

Director of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry’s Consular Service Department Serhii Pohoreltsev and Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates in Ukraine Salem Ahmed Al-Kaabi have discussed steps to implement an intergovernmental agreement on the mutual abolition of visa requirement for citizens of the both countries.

This has been reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

“Gratitude was expressed to the UAE Ambassador for the assistance in organizing of the Ukrainian president’s visit to the UAE and signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on the abolition of visa requirements for citizens of the two countries. During the meeting, the parties discussed the ways of rapid implementation of the mentioned intergovernmental agreement, as well as other topical issues of bilateral cooperation in the consular sphere,” reads a report.

As earlier reported, President Petro Poroshenko paid an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates on October 31-November 2, 2017.
