Foreign Ministry: Occupying power intensifies pressure on Crimean Tatars

The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine has voiced the protest to the Russian Federation over searches in the house of Crimean Tatar language teacher Lenara Mustafayeva and her relatives in the occupied Crimea.

"The occupying power intensifies pressure on the Crimean Tatars and creates conditions for forced deportation. We voice another protest to Russia," Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Mariana Betsa posted on Twitter.

As Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People Refat Chubarov wrote on Facebook referring to the information received from the occupied Crimea, Russians conducted searches in the house of Crimean Tatar language teacher Lenara Mustafayeva in the village of Esen-Nosti (now Pushkino) of Ichkin (now Sovetski) district and her mother-in-law Adzher Mustafayeva, who lives in the same village on November 16.
