A decision of the Venice Commission regarding the language article of the law on education will be promulgated on December 10 and it will be the main factor in resolving disputes.

Ukrainian Minister of Education and Science Lilia Hrynevych said this at the briefing, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"A decision of the Venice Commission is the main factor to address this situation. The Venice Commission meeting will be held on December 8, the recommendations will be promulgated approximately on December 10 ... We should turn our attention to these recommendations and then implement the language article of the education law through special laws," Hrynevych said.

She adds that there is no prospect that there will be a majority in the Verkhovna Rada's hall for amending article 7 of the law on education.

"Every graduate of the Ukrainian school, regardless of nationality, should be fluent in the state language after receiving the general secondary education," the minister said.
